INGREDIENTS:

1 kg pork cubes
2 tbsp oil
2 large onions – thinly sliced
2 + 1 tsp ginger/garlic paste
2 tbsp soya sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
2-3 tbsp vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp red chilli pd
1 tsp corn flour – diluted in 50 ml water
salt to taste

METHOD:

Clean pork well and drain it. Put it in a heavy bottomed non stick vessel
Add 2 tsp ginger/garlic paste, mix well n cook on med/high, till oil separates
( There is no need to add water to pork)
In another non stick fry pan, heat oil
Add sliced onions n saute till pink
Add 1 tsp ginger/garlic and fry for a minute
Add red chilli pd and stir till you get a rich red colour
Empty onion mix into pork and continue to cook on low
Pour in vinegar, soya sauce and hoisin sauce.
Add salt, brown sugar and stir well
Cook on low for 15 mins
Now pour in the corn starch mix and stir well
Remove from flame and eat hot with bread, rice or noodles

PS… You can garnish with spring onions or cilantro
